Gmail: Free Email from Goggle

Gmail is one of the newest services offered by the giant search engine Goggle. Goggle's objective it to organize the world’s information and make it easily accessible to everyone. Gmail is a free webmail service.

The web service includes 1,000 megabytes of free storage. That’s 1 gigabyte! You’ll never have to delete an email message. You simply archive it. Goggle has incorporated its powerful search engine technology to make it quick and easy to find any email message that you have ever sent or received. You’ll never have to sort your email messages again.

Gmail also displays all the replies to an email, so you can review the context of the entire conversation. Gmail does include relevant text ands and links to related web sites, but they do not display all those annoying pop up banners.

Gmail provides free forwarding and POP3 access. It supports a wide range of browsers including Microsoft IE, Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox, Opera and others. In addition, Gmail comes with a spam filter to weed out unwanted junk mail. Gmail also protects against unwanted viruses and will not allow executable files to be sent or received.

As of this writing, Gmail is being tested but should soon be widely available. Be sure to check it out. Gmail will change the way you think and work with email.
