The latest version of Netscape’s browser has some nice features, besides being free. You can browse multiple web sites from a single window. It also provides tabbed browsing, similar to the Mozilla FireFox browser. This handy feature permits you to have multiple sites in the same window. Using the quick launch feature, you can begin browsing the Internet quicker. The new Netscape browser also permits you to download multiple files simultaneously. The Netscape download includes a host of programs. You get a browser, an e-mail client, an address book, a web page editor, AOL Instant Messenger and a Netscape radio station.

To prevent someone else from using the passwords on your computer, the Netscape browser includes a master password. The Netscape browser permits you to block cookies for specific web sites or receive an alert when a website attempts to put a cookie on your computer.

To use the new Netscape browser, you must have Windows 98 or higher, a Pentium 233 MHz chip, 64 MB RAM and 26 MB of free hard disk space.
